Collective Action

DC Action for Children regularly collaborates with organizations and government agencies to improve the lives of young children and their families.

Because the issues facing the District's children are vast and complex—and resources are limited—we work in concert with partners across sectors to generate innovative and sustainable solutions. We are always interested in exploring new partnerships with business leaders, service providers, advocate groups, parents, philanthropies and public agencies throughout the city.

Our strategic partnerships are focused on:

  • Analyzing D.C.’s budget with a children-focused lens;
  • Evaluating and advocating for change on the legislative agenda; and,
  • Developing programmatic initiatives to promote quality.

Our ultimate goal is to ensure that while we’re improving the lives of D.C.’s children through advocacy, we’re also empowering parents, child care providers and communities by ensuring they have access to the information they need to make informed decisions.

Our partners include:

DC Appleseed

DC Fiscal Policy Institute

DC Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy

Children's Law Center

DC Hunger Solutions

DC Primary Care Association

Empower DC

DC Association for the Education of Young Children

DC Alliance of Youth Advocates
